General Hydroponics

Providing Innovations in Hydroponics
About General Hydroponics

General Hydroponics has a team that is passionate about plants and growing them. The company began more than 40 years ago with a group of technicians, scientists, and engineers who had the common goal of enhancing innovation and quality in agriculture. The team decided to achieve that innovation via research and manufacturing processes.

Over the years, General Hydroponics has grown dramatically and now has state-of-the-art facilities for research and development in North America as well as Europe. This includes on-site grow facilities using green tech and alternative energy, as well as a specialized division to test more than a hundred types of plants.

Now, General Hydroponics is part of Hawthorne Gardening Company. General Hydroponics offers a full spectrum of products for growers to use, including a complete line of nutrients.

There are five series of nutrients, including one specifically for coconut coir growing, the original series, and one that maximizes simplicity and affordability. General Hydroponics also offers BioThrive, a range of plant food that is vegan. Growers can enhance their crops with one of the nine supplements from the company or one of the four control products to keep pests away.

You can purchase one of the General Hydroponics five media choices, including organic coconut coir and rooting starters. The company also offers maintenance products, like root protection for hydroponic growers, a high-performing rinse for plants and soil, and pH adjusters. The company even has aeroponics and hydroponics systems to get growers started, with options of all sizes.
