Humboldt Seed Company prides itself on being a leader in the specialized development of cannabis breeding, as well as strain development. The company began in 2001 in Humboldt County, California. It initially started breeding cannabis for medical marijuana patients following the passage of Prop 215.

Since then, Humboldt Seed Company has expanded and now also provides recreational marijuana. It grows its seeds on its farm located in Northeastern Humboldt County. The company’s seeds are Clean Green-certified and available for sale at select retailers in multiple states.

In 2018, the company hosted an event called “The World’s Largest Phenotype Hunt,” which involved a collaborative pursuit of genetic clones. It involved working with local farm friends and selecting the top percentile of clones. Those clones are now available to others in nurseries in California and Oregon. This event followed the company’s dedication to providing the best of the best.

The company is also involved in the community, regularly donating to charities as well as providing access to patients in need.
