Exotic Genetix

Exotic Genetix is a cannabis breeder started by a man who goes by "Exotic Mike". Mike spent time working at a hydroponics store in Tacoma, Washington and continually found himself answering questions from medical marijuana patients who had issues with their medicinal grows. He noticed lots of the problems revolved around acquiring contaminated clones from tainted grow rooms with mildew, pests, and other common issues growing marijuana. With this in mind, he began experimenting out of a small tent with the goal to provide clean (non-contaminated) seeds.

The first strains bred were Essence, Flurple, and Supernatural. These were given away for free to certain customers who came in seeking solutions to their dysfunctional grows. In 2008, about a year after the first tent operation went up, demand for the seeds became so high that he began charging for them and Exotic Genetix was established.

The passion with Exotic's genetics has been noticed by more than just the initial customers who received the first batch of seeds. Today, they have many awards to their name from various competitions (and even Cannabis Cups) in categories ranging from best flower and hash, to best breeder and seed company.
