Privacy Policy

Leafist is a price-comparison site. You can use every part of it without telling us who you are.

What we collect

Your email address, only if you ask for alerts. Watching a strain stores your address with the strain and alert type you chose. That's the only personal data you ever hand us. We confirm the address by email before sending anything (double opt-in), and unverified addresses are never emailed about prices.

No accounts, no ad tracking. There is nothing to sign up for. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are worth keeping, and it sets cookies in your browser to do that. We set no advertising cookies and run no ad networks. Your theme preference is stored in your own browser and never sent to us. Our servers keep standard, short-lived request logs.

How your email is used

Solely to send the alerts you asked for: one confirmation email, and one-off notes when a watched strain drops in price or restocks. No newsletters, no marketing, no selling or renting your address to anyone, ever.

One exception, once. In August 2026 we sent a single message to people who subscribed to the previous version of Leafist between 2019 and 2021, telling them the site had changed. Those addresses came from the old site, were never added to any list here, are not stored in this database, and were not contacted again.

Who processes it

Two infrastructure providers touch your address on our behalf: our database host (Neon) stores it, and our email provider (Resend) delivers the messages. Neither may use it for anything else. Your email is never sent to Google; Analytics only ever sees anonymous browsing of the site.

Deleting your data

Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe that permanently deletes every alert tied to your address, which is all the personal data we hold about you. Nothing is archived or retained after that.

Outbound links

Price listings link to third-party seed banks. Some of those links are affiliate links, meaning the seed bank may pay us a commission on a sale. This never changes your price or a bank's ranking here. We count these link-outs (which listing, the price shown, and a coarse device class and country) with nothing that identifies you attached: no IP address, cookie, account, or fingerprint. Once you leave Leafist, the seed bank's own privacy policy applies.

Age

Leafist is intended for adults 21 and over in jurisdictions where viewing this information is lawful. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21.
