Privacy Policy

Leafist is a price-comparison site. You can use every part of it without telling us who you are.

What we collect

Your email address, only if you ask for alerts. Watching a strain stores your address with the strain and alert type you chose. That's the only personal data you ever hand us. We confirm the address by email before sending anything (double opt-in), and unverified addresses are never emailed about prices. Alongside the address we keep a one-day pseudonym of the connection that sent the form, so one connection can't sign up a list of other people's addresses. It is a keyed hash that cannot be turned back into an address and matches nothing after that day.

No accounts, no analytics, no cookies of our own. There is nothing to sign up for. We run no analytics service and set no cookies. Your theme preference is stored in your own browser and never sent to us. Our servers keep standard, short-lived request logs.

One ad network, with its own trackers. Some pages show a display ad from Mantis Ad Network, a Los Angeles company that serves ads for the cannabis industry. On those pages your browser loads their script and asks their ad server for an ad, which tells Mantis your IP address, the page you are on and your time zone. The script also keeps a short list of the ad campaigns you have recently seen in your browser's local storage, so it can vary what you see. When an ad renders, it loads a few invisible pixels: one of Mantis's own that counts the impression, and two from the ad technology companies Beeswax (bidr.io) and Lotame (crwdcntrl.net). Those two set cookies on their own domains and may use them to recognize your browser on other websites and show you cannabis ads there. Mantis reports impressions and earnings to us only in aggregate; we never learn who saw an ad, and nothing about the ads is connected to an email address you give us. Blocking third-party cookies or running a content blocker stops the pixels without breaking the site. Mantis's privacy contact is privacy@mantisadnetwork.com.

How your email is used

Solely to send the alerts you asked for: one confirmation email, and one-off notes when a watched strain drops in price or restocks. No newsletters, no marketing, no selling or renting your address to anyone, ever.

One exception, once. In August 2026 we sent a single message to people who subscribed to the previous version of Leafist between 2019 and 2021, telling them the site had changed. Those addresses came from the old site, were never added to any list here, are not stored in this database, and were not contacted again.

Who processes it

Two infrastructure providers touch your address on our behalf: our database host (Neon) stores it, and our email provider (Resend) delivers the messages. Neither may use it for anything else.

Deleting your data

Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe that permanently deletes every alert tied to your address, which is all the personal data we hold about you. Nothing is archived or retained after that.

Outbound links

Price listings link to third-party seed banks. Some of those links are affiliate links, meaning the seed bank may pay us a commission on a sale. This never changes your price or a bank's ranking here. We count these link-outs (which listing, the price shown, and a coarse device class and country) with nothing that identifies you attached: no IP address, cookie, account, or fingerprint. Once you leave Leafist, the seed bank's own privacy policy applies.

Age

Leafist is intended for adults 21 and over in jurisdictions where viewing this information is lawful. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21.
