About Rare Dankness #2

Rare Dankness #2 is a hard-to-find hybrid cannabis strain that is said to bring an uplifting and versatile buzz.

Rare Dankness #2 is a phenotype of Rare Dankness #1, meaning that they are very similar in nature. As such, a great deal of the information you find about Rare Dankness #1 will also apply to Rare Dankness #2. To some extent, the same is true of information of a strain simply called Rare Dankness, which is technically the original.

Rare Dankness #1 and #2 are known for their enhanced structure, increased yield, and exceptional potency, including the hybrid strains created from them. Rare Dankness has a very high THC content of 26 percent.

Background

The name Rare Dankness comes from the name of the Colorado seed bank that bred it. Scott “Moonshine,” the founder of Rare Dankness Genetics, created the original Rare Dankness by crossing a female Ghost OG plant with an inbred male Chemdawg that came from Reservoir Seeds, also in Colorado.

Rare Darkness #2 was originally bred as a male plant and is a hybrid of Rugburn OG and Ghost OG. Rare Dankness #1 is also a male and resulted from four generations of crossing, including with Rare Dankness, Ghost OG, and Triangle Kush. Both Rare Dankness #2 and Rare Dankness #1 were never created to be available to the public. There are, however, many hybrids resulting from Rare Dankness #1, including Rare Darkness, 501st OG, and Scott’s OG.

If you want to be discreet with your cannabis consumption, you should look for a different strain. Rare Dankness tends to be fairly pungent, making it easily noticeable.

Effects

Fans of this cannabis strain note that it tends to have a creeping and ultimately relaxing body-tingling buzz. The cerebral side of this hybrid often brings euphoric bliss.

You will likely begin feeling the effects quickly. It starts with pressure from the temples and eyes almost immediately. Soon after, you will begin feeling relaxed without any tension. At this point, it becomes easier to breathe deeply, and your muscles relax.

Rare Dankness #2 is best for daydreaming and not for tasks that require logical thinking. Body melt and couch-lock are common effects, typically appearing after just a single bowl.

Consuming more of Rare Dankness will gently bring you to deep sleep. Because of this, it is best to consume it at night or on days that you can be lazy.

Because of its effects, Rare Dankness is popular for PTSD, anxiety, and depression. It also helps with temporary and chronic pain, including from injuries and fibromyalgia. Its ability to induce sleep also helps those with insomnia.

Appearance

Flowers of Rare Dankness #2 tend to be of medium size, although this strain's irregular lime green nugs are likely to be very sticky and densely packed.

Rare Dankness flowers are usually smaller. They feature tightly curled leaves that have the typical structure of indica buds. The leaves are mossy green with vivid purple streaks that occur from chemical changes due to colder temperatures. The flowers are colorful, but this is enhanced by its milky white trichomes.

Aroma and Flavor

Trichome-covered buds of Rare Dankness #2 tend to produce a floral and sweet scent. Some say that when you vaporize or smoke these buds, they provide a rich yet sweet berry flavor.

The buds have a fruity aroma that includes traces of tart berries. You will also notice musky grape notes. If you break the flowers open or grind them, you will also get faintly skunky odors and earthy ones. These likely come from Skunk #1 and Afghani, its grandparent strains.

The smoke from Rare Dankness is thick and sometimes harsh, leading to coughing along with lung expansion. As you exhale, you will taste sweet grape and a hint of peppery spice.
