Most “top strains” lists are somebody’s opinion. This one is a count. We scrape 15 seed bank catalogs every day, so we can say exactly how many of them carry a given CBD strain, and the answer separates the genuinely ubiquitous from the merely famous.
The spread is steep. Critical Mass leads at 7 of 15 banks, but of the 15 CBD strains any bank carries, only 4 reach 4. Everything else is stocked by one or two. That tail is why this ranking exists: an alphabetical catalog gives a strain at eleven banks and a strain at one exactly the same prominence.
It measures retail distribution rather than sales. Banks carry what sells, so the two track each other closely, but a strain can also be widely listed because one breeder distributes aggressively. Prices are the cheapest live price-per-seed we hold, so pack sizes compare honestly.
