Ranked by how many of the 16 seed banks we track carry each one.
Most “top strains” lists are somebody’s opinion. This one is a count. We scrape 16 seed bank catalogs every day, so we can say exactly how many of them carry a given hybrid strain, and the answer separates the genuinely ubiquitous from the merely famous.
The spread is steep. White Widow leads at 14 of 16 banks, but of the 1,246 hybrid strains any bank carries, only 252 reach 4. Everything else is stocked by one or two. That tail is why this ranking exists: an alphabetical catalog gives a strain at eleven banks and a strain at one exactly the same prominence.
It measures retail distribution rather than sales. Banks carry what sells, so the two track each other closely, but a strain can also be widely listed because one breeder distributes aggressively. Prices are the cheapest live price-per-seed we hold, so pack sizes compare honestly.
